Do you love Wrexham's parks?

Can you imagine not having somewhere to kick a ball with friends? Nowhere to walk the dog? No green space to take the grandchildren to feed the ducks? No trees that drop autumn leaves for kicking? No safe, quiet space to share a family picnic?

Ty Mawr Country Park

Parks are at the heart of our communities and are there for us all, from every background and ability, from the young to the young at heart. Many of us learnt to ride our first bike in the park and our elite athletes won their first race, scored their first goal or made their first try in a local park or playing field.

Many of the urban green spaces in Wrexham are already protected with Fields in Trust and can never be built on or lost to development - but for future generations to reach their personal best, we need support to protect more of Wrexham’s parks and green spaces.

With your help, we can increase our protection to encompass ten country parks, securing their future forever.

Parks are powerful!

The amazing power of parks is that they can help us tackle these challenges - and more - in so many ways:

  • Parks are good for people
They give us space to exercise, play, run, breathe.

  • Parks are good for places
They support thriving local economies, foster community connections and promote active travel.

  • Parks are good for the planet
They help tackle climate change, boost biodiversity and protect the natural world.

Fields in Trust is the only UK charity that seeks to protect our parks and green spaces forever. Working in partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council and you, we can ensure that these precious and vital spaces are secure for generations to come. You can find out more about our work in Wrexham on our website.

Thank you for your support.

* Every pound raised will help us protect more parks and green spaces in Wrexham. In the unlikely event that we raise more funds than required to protect all ten country parks identified, we will ensure that those funds are dedicated to the protection of other parks across the UK.
